Job Summary
Vendor Management Lead in Deutsche Bank's Global Procurement and Vendor Management function, accountable for end-to-end governance of DB’s most strategic vendors and contracts post-signature. Leads cross-functional stakeholder engagement, manages business demand, and proactively identifies and resolves contractual, vendor performance, and risk issues. Oversees governance and performance reviews using KPIs, SLAs, and ESG scoring; ensures contractual compliance and ongoing risk mitigation across the contract lifecycle. Builds divisional third-party and supplier strategies to support delivery of business goals, manages sourcing requests, and provides reporting and insights across vendor engagements. May manage a portfolio of contracts and vendors with potential people management responsibilities. Requires strong vendor management experience, negotiation and drafting of commercial terms, and familiarity with sourcing processes (RFI/RFP) and contracts. Proficiency with procurement tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa) and business fluency in English are essential; experience with technology vendor contracts is highly advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of vendor management experience in financial services or large corporate environment
- in-depth understanding of vendor management across the entire vendor lifecycle
- strong contract and commercial management experience
- issue and dispute management, risk management, service performance management
- supplier governance and vendor strategy
- excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- strong commercial awareness and ability to navigate different commercial models
- strong financial acumen and business case understanding
- ability to negotiate and draft commercial terms and changes
- Sourcing process knowledge (RFI, RFP) and contract lifecycle expertise
- strong analytical skills to analyze trends, data, spend and drive improved vendor performance (SLAs, KPIs, KRIs)
- experience with data-driven reporting and insights for decision making
- experience using Digital Procurement tools such as SAP Ariba and Coupa
- experience with technology vendors and technology contracts
- English language proficiency
- people management experience an advantage
