Job Summary
Develop and manage HV Battery Systems and Battery Management System (BMS) requirements for ENC's electrified powertrain. Lead diagnostic analyses to determine root causes of power battery pack failures using BMS and vehicle data. Support battery production and vehicle assembly; travel on-site as needed. Collaborate with field reliability, service, failure analysis, battery-pack assembly manufacturing, and control design teams to align mitigation actions. Propose improvements to BMS and diagnostic strategies to reduce customer impact and streamline field-service analysis. Coordinate with HV battery platform team on new architecture development (fusing, HV switchgear, electrical safety) to incorporate field lessons and optimize next-gen designs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 3+ years of work experience in Battery/Automotive/Aerospace/related industries specializing in power battery packaging and battery management system (BMS) for vehicle applications
- Knowledge of battery behavior and high voltage safety
- Knowledge of battery sensing technology and battery management architectural design
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with focus on rapid root cause identification and corrective action implementation
- Experience with vehicle communication bus diagnostic tools
