Job Summary
Security Patrol Officer patrolling residential and commercial properties throughout the San Fernando Valley, enforcing private property rules, investigating disturbances, and maintaining a safe environment. Will take detailed observations and reports, relay information about suspicious incidents to authorities, and uphold safety protocols. Requires vigilance, attention to detail, and the ability to work a graveyard shift (7:30 PM–4:30 AM) with weekends required. Extensive training provided by a Security Supervisor; must obtain California Guard Card and pass background checks. Strong typing (45 WPM), good driving record, and reliable, professional demeanor are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS)
- Undergo a criminal history background check through the California DOJ and FBI
- Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Must be physically fit, able to stand or walk for extended periods
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Good judgement and problem-solving skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Typing test minimum of 45 WPM
