Job Summary
Transport clients in adult day treatment or peer support programs on a Monday-Friday schedule. Provide and complete daily transportation logs after each run, schedule trips for identified clients, and finish all necessary paperwork. Assist with cleaning as needed. Operate vehicles carefully while following traffic laws, recognize equipment defects, and perform pre-trip safety inspections. Maintain the 15-passenger van by cleaning, fueling, and checking systems. Assist passengers on and off the vehicle and help with safety restraints. Operate two-way radios and cellular phones. Proficient with computers is required. Valid Georgia driver's license, clear MVR, and high school diploma are prerequisites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Georgia driver's license
- Clear MVR
- At least 21 years old
- Ability to operate vehicles carefully and competently, following all traffic laws
- Ability to assist passengers on and off of vehicle and help them with safety restraints
- Ability to operate two-way radio and/or cellular telephone
- Ability to recognize defects in the equipment that impact safety
- Ability to perform pre-trip vehicle safety inspection
- Ability to clean, fuel and maintain 15 passenger van
- Must be proficient with computers
