Job Summary
Supervise the Vehicle Maintenance Parts Operation Strategist and oversee part, tool, and inventory procurement while performing hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections on resort vehicles and equipment. Administer maintenance recordkeeping systems, coordinate service appointments and vendor communications, and support the development of safety policies and procedures. Assist in planning vehicle acquisitions, managing departmental budgets, and conducting regular safety meetings. Provide training to technicians on record completion, review timekeeping, and maintain inter-departmental relations within the mountain operations group. Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas remain clean and safe while delivering superior service to internal and external guests.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant technical and mechanical repair experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leader experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to proficiently diagnose and repair electrical, engine, and hydraulic systems independently
- Ability to safely and properly operate heavy equipment (including but not limited to loaders, excavators, snow groomers, etc)
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of company personnel and outside firms
- Ability to share knowledge with other staff throughout the department and resort
- Requires own tools for general maintenance and repairs
- Regular stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 75lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Good math/budget skills; business training desirable
