Job Summary
Vehicle Installation Technician to support vehicle preparation, hardware integration, mechanical assembly, and installation operations in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities include performing hardware installation following SOPs, mounting and aligning components, routing wiring harnesses and ensuring proper cable management, executing system power-up procedures and functional testing, conducting quality inspections, documenting completed work, and communicating issues to supervisors and engineering teams. Preferred experience in wiring harnesses, low-voltage electrical systems, and vehicle retrofitting, with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read technical documents. Position involves shift work in a San Francisco, CA onsite setting; candidates should be proficient with hand and power tools, and able to work safely in a production environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Experience in hardware assembly, mechanical assembly, vehicle installation, automotive work, manufacturing, production, maintenance, or related technical environments
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, work orders, blueprints, diagrams, or assembly documentation
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, and work around vehicles throughout the shift
- Ability to work safely in a production, warehouse, manufacturing, or engineering environment
