Job Summary
Manage projects from initiation to completion, communicating updates to clients and team members while ensuring exceptional work product and meeting deadlines. Develop specialized expertise in automotive technology through the design, performance, and testing of existing or emerging systems. Conduct site, scene, vehicle, and equipment inspections, preparing written reports and presenting findings to diverse audiences. Identify areas for original research in vehicle powertrain, propulsion, engines, transmissions, or brakes. Work overtime occasionally and travel as needed to fulfill client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- Master's Degree + 4 years of industry experience in vehicle and automotive powertrain or propulsion system design, development, testing, and deployment
- Presently legally authorized to work in the United States
- No immigration sponsorship or processing required
- The ideal candidate should be willing and able to work overtime occasionally
- The ideal candidate should be willing and able to travel as needed to fulfill client needs
Desired Qualifications
- A background in engines, transmissions, and/or brakes is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact with managers, engineers, non-technical personnel, and clients and present technical topics in a cogent and comprehensible manner
- Excellent leadership skills
- Field and/or lab measurement experience with excellent hands-on skills
- Versatile, team-oriented, willing to work overtime and travel when required
