Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and repair 12-volt and 24-volt electronics including cameras, GPS tracking, telematics, and fareboxes on DATTCO and customer vehicles. Accurately record repair information, field tickets through the internal system, and maintain proper hand tools for job functions. Order and control inventory levels while reporting to the Director of Fleet Maintenance and coordinating with shop foremen and terminal managers. Requires a valid driver's license, previous 12v/24v installation experience, and moderate to advanced knowledge of vehicle electronics concepts. Position offers Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm hours with potential for flexible shifts, overtime, and travel. Technician must supply their own tools.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Previous 12v/24v installation and service experience
- Moderate to advanced knowledge of vehicle electronics concepts such as GPS, relays and video systems
- Technician will be required to supply their own tools for this position
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, twist, stand, walk, and work in and around vehicles for extended periods
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely
