Job Summary
Define vehicle dynamics targets for ride, braking, steering, and handling, cascading requirements to systems and components while accounting for cross-attribute effects. Execute objective and subjective vehicle evaluations, conducting full simulation and instrumented testing from setup to reporting, alongside rig testing for K&C and 4-post scenarios. Perform physical and virtual analysis during design and development phases to validate targets, identifying root causes in test and simulation data to propose practical solutions for attribute improvement. Support the development of attribute testing procedures and prepare detailed technical reports with actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Automotive Vehicle Dynamics attribute
- Hands-on experience in vehicle dynamics target setting and cascade, data analysis, testing simulation, optimization, problem solving
- Proficiency with vehicle dynamics-specific instrumentation and sensor setups
- Skilled in performing and coordinating standard vehicle dynamics-specific simulation and testing processes (road tests, rig tests, laboratory tests, environmental chamber tests)
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics-related analytical tools and software relevant to the specialized area
- Demonstrated ability to closely collaborate with other performance managers and cross-functional teams to effectively implement improvements
- Proficient in interpreting test and simulation data, performing root-cause analysis, and clearly communicating findings and recommendations
- Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (DFMEA, DVP, 8D, 5Y, DFSS, FTA, Fish Bone)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, hands-on, and collaborative environment
