Job Summary
Create MBS simulation models for full vehicle and system-level dynamics, covering handling, ride comfort, drivability, and steering behavior. Evaluate chassis kinematic and compliance behavior to define hardpoints and stiffness requirements for bushings and structural components. Analyze simulation and test results to assess performance against targets, perform root cause analyses for deviations, and propose countermeasures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align targets and support virtual vehicle tuning and suspension development. Generate simulation reports with optimization measures and cascade system targets from full vehicle goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in vehicle dynamics and suspension development
- Extensive experience with relevant tools such as MSC Adams / Adams Car, AVL VSM, IPG CarMaker, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong understanding of suspension kinematics and compliance behavior and their interaction with vehicle dynamics
- Knowledge of tire modeling (empirical and physical models)
- Experience in model correlation with measurement data and the ability to interpret results
