Job Summary
Join Steer Automotive Group as a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) at the Komoo site in Wigan. You will assess vehicle damage and calculate accurate repair costings and time requirements using Audatex, liaising regularly with insurance engineers and customers. Create precise damage assessments compliant with BSI PAS 10125 standards and apply correct repair methods, plan workload to ensure repairs meet SLA, and uphold high standards in a fast-paced environment. Work both independently and as part of a team, focusing on customer satisfaction. ATA qualification in estimating is ideal, with support for renewal.
Required Qualifications
- Experience estimating damage costs for all types of vehicles including hybrid and electric
- Proficiency using Audatex for assessments
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet service level agreements (SLA)
- Experience adhering to manufacturers' specifications
- Knowledge of BSI PAS 10125 standards
- ATA qualification in estimating (preferred; employer supports renewal)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong communication with insurance engineers and customers
