Job Summary
Read engineering drawings and works orders to install insulated panels, terminate electrical components, and seal joints with silicone and gel coatings. Cut metals, woods, and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment while ensuring good housekeeping across workshops and vehicles. Work independently to meet timelines and standards, adhering strictly to company H&S, maintenance procedures, and quality control protocols. Maintain personal timekeeping and conduct in line with agreed policies, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications
- Vehicle Bodybuilding experience
- Excellent understanding of the manufacturing process
- Own transportation or ability to reliably get to site
- Ability to work safely and professionally
- Positive and proactive attitude towards work
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative to achieve timelines and standards
- Experience in using hand tools, bench saws and measurement equipment whilst using them all safely
- Good personal time keeping
- Conduct in line with agreed policies and procedures
- Adherence to safety, regulatory, rule and Company changes/alterations to working practises
- Ability to read engineering drawings provided and work from works orders
- Ability to install insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies
- Ability to electrically terminate lighting, switches and tail lifts
- Ability to seal joints, floors and roofs with silicone and gel coatings
- Ability to cut metals, woods and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment
- Ability to ensure standards of good housekeeping are achieved in all work areas
- Ability to ensure compliance with company H&S, maintenance procedures & quality control
- Ability to carry out any other reasonable projects, tasks, or duties to support the business as directed by management
- DBS check satisfactory completion
