Job Summary
Lead vegetation management operations, contractor performance, project teams, and emergency response efforts for utility projects in outdoor environments across California, coordinating with utility partners and program managers to ensure safety and compliance. Drive scheduling, progress monitoring, and process improvements; support customer interactions, agency meetings, and field visits; perform data-oriented problem solving and provide support to Vegetation Management Inspectors. Prefer ISA Certified Arborist; strong leadership, communication, plant identification, and knowledge of invasive species are essential; willingness to travel up to 75% and work in rugged outdoor settings.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, Environmental Science, or related field
- Leadership experience and familiarity with PG&E contractor work practices (preferred)
- Experience with emergency response or hazard tree removal (preferred)
- ISA Certified Arborist (preferred)
- Strong plant ID and invasive species knowledge
- Excellent communication and independent work skills
- Comfortable working in rugged terrain and varying weather conditions
