Job Summary
Supervise personnel in various company operations to secure and maintain business, directing crews for tree work on utility and private customers. Schedule activities, assign crews, and monitor progress while enforcing safety, performance, and quality standards. Manage staffing through recruiting, interviewing, and training new hires, and coach employees to accomplish team goals. Resolve operational issues, implement new procedures, and develop accounts to ensure customer satisfaction. This year-round, full-time outdoor role requires a current driver's license, physical ability to work in various weather conditions, and relevant industry certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Strong supervisory background
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience or prior supervisory experience in a comparable role
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Comfort with all aspects of supervision and management including: Employee supervision, Safety & performance management, Staffing (to include recruiting, interviewing, orienting, and training new hires), Developing growth opportunities and monitoring job success, Coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees to accomplish team goals, Implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, Complete operations by scheduling work, assigning crews, and monitoring work progress, Implementing produ...
- At least 3 years in the tree industry or prior supervisory experience
- Strong management, organizational, and people skills
- 18 years of age with a HS Diploma/GED/or equivalent
- Current and valid driver's license in good standing as determined by Lucas Tree
- Ability to work outside in various types of weather
- Physically able to perform the requirements of the position
- Ability to travel as needed for the position
- Familiarity with technology (i.e. smart phones, computers) and basic computer skills
- Ability to create estimates for the purpose of bidding on new jobs and ensure good public relations at all times
- Ability to develop new accounts and maintain existing customers as well as investigate and solve complaints
- Possession of or willingness and ability to obtain, and maintain licenses & certifications (Pesticide, Arborist, CDL, CTSP) as required by the position
- Ability to successfully complete a post offer physical & drug screen as well as a background and motor vehicle check
