Job Summary
Inspect rights of ways for major gas and electric utility systems, identifying vegetation incompatible with state and federal regulations. Collect and enter data on handheld devices while following maps and using GPS navigation. Communicate with landowners regarding necessary work on their properties and assess all terrain, habitat, and environmental conditions. Coordinate with project managers, planners, and vegetation crews. Operate a 4x4 vehicle on rough and narrow roads while working in rugged terrain and inclement weather. This full-time role requires a high school diploma, one year of arboriculture experience, and a valid driver's license with a clean record. Travel is highly likely, with lodging and per diem provided for overnight trips.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of arboriculture experience.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- A clean driving record (DMV printout required).
- Proficient in operating a 4x4 vehicle on rough and narrow roads.
- Willingness to travel.
- Lodging and per diem paid for all overnight travel.
- Capability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
