Job Summary
Wash, peel, chop, and dice vegetables using knives or peeling machines; maintain clean work area and adhere to FSMS standards; report food safety issues; check food quality by smell, piercing, or tasting; contribute to a cooperative work environment; assist with inventory and reduce food waste; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role in food production or kitchen environment
- Familiarity with various vegetable cutting styles
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks during 8-hour shifts
- Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling as required
- Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
