Job Summary
Wash, peel, chop, and dice vegetables using knives or peeling machines while maintaining cleanliness of the work area and tools. Follow all food safety and hygiene standards from the FSMS handbook and report any issues to the manager or hygiene team. Check food quality and doneness through smell, piercing, or tasting as instructed. Support inventory efforts by noting low stock levels and help minimize food wastage through proper handling. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting, and working in hot or cold environments during 8-hour shifts. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role in food production or kitchen environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks during 8-hour shifts
- Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling as required
- Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments
- Service-oriented with a collaborative and team-focused mindset
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Familiarity with various vegetable cutting styles
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus
