Job Summary
Design and implement Specially Designed Instruction, accommodations, and supports aligned with state standards and student needs. Develop Individual Educational Plans (IEP) detailing present levels, goals, and required services. Create a positive educational climate for students with disabilities while employing effective teaching techniques to meet IEP objectives. Observe student performance, monitor assessment data, and manage classroom behavior using positive behavior supports and evidence-based interventions. Communicate regularly with parents and district personnel regarding progress and encourage parental involvement. Provide oversight to paraprofessionals and maintain confidential records, inquiries, and full-time equivalency documentation. Attend workshops and trainings to build Exceptional Student Education knowledge and skills.
Required Qualifications
- Eligibility for Florida Temporary Certificate
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education preferred
