Job Summary
Designs and implements Specially Designed Instruction, accommodations, and supports per state standards and district curriculum; develops IEPs with present levels, goals, and required services; creates a positive educational climate for students with disabilities; employs diverse teaching techniques to meet IEP goals; observes and evaluates progress, maintains grades and attendance; manages classroom behavior with evidence-based interventions; communicates with parents and school personnel; ensures health and safety; provides oversight to paraprofessionals; maintains confidential records and FTE documentation; attends workshops for ESE knowledge and skills; maintains required certifications and professional development hours; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Temporary Certificate required
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education preferred
