Job Summary
VDI Engineer joining a government-focused team to engineer, design, test, implement, and manage the full life cycle of Citrix XenDesktop and NetScaler in a large enterprise environment. Responsible for designing and supporting Microsoft infrastructure solutions (Azure Virtual Desktop, on-prem, cloud, and hybrid), interfacing with government stakeholders on technical considerations, engineering and tuning the VDI environment to obtain Authority to Operate (ATO), managing Citrix products (Virtual Apps/Desktops/ADC/Provisioning) and Azure products (Azure Virtual Desktops), and providing Tier 3+ support, root cause analysis, and documentation. Based in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD with on-site work as indicated.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to obtain polygraph
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certifications (Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Citrix XenDesktop and NetScaler
- Experience with Microsoft infrastructure: Azure Virtual Desktop, on-premises, cloud and hybrid
- PowerShell or Python scripting for automation
- Experience providing Tier 3+ support and RCA
- Ability to prepare and maintain documentation for VDI solutions and procedures
- Knowledge of RDS on Windows Server 2019/2022
- Experience deploying Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
- Willingness to work onsite in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD
