Job Summary
VDC - Trade Specialist leads BIM/VDC workflow for construction projects, coordinating with modelers, BIM technicians, detailers and field teams to generate fabrication and installation drawings; establishes means and methods for assemblies, prefabrication, kitting, and installation; develops and tracks KPI-driven VC budgets; supports design-build/submittal processes with design teams; identifies BIM scope of work and coordinates CAD/Revit files; leads standardization of assemblies/products and provides detailed installation guidance to the field; requires extensive 10+ years in commercial/industrial construction and 5+ years as a foreman, with strong tech proficiency and knowledge of building codes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10yrs experience in commercial/industrial construction
- 5yrs+ experience as a Foreman managing projects, personnel, schedules, budgets and scopes
- Must be technologically savvy and open to learning and adapting new software’s and technologies
- Extensive knowledge of trade specific codes and general knowledge of all building codes
- Proficient in cross referencing plans across all trades
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam
- Excellent communication, collaboration, strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast- paced working environment while working with and supervising large teams
