Job Summary
VDC Specialist I - Thermal responsibilities include facilitating interdepartmental communication, coordinating activities across teams, and maintaining advanced Thermal design and modeling using tools like Revit and BIM software. The role requires leadership in modeling oversight, project scheduling, QA/QC of deliverables, and enabling efficient project execution through effective collaboration with PMs, clients, and engineers. Proficiency with BIM360, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revit, ISAT tools, and related workflows is essential, along with the ability to train new hires, review scopes of work, identify and resolve issues, and ensure clash-free models. A Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of related BIM experience is required, along with strong communication skills and knowledge of building codes, LEAN, and LEED principles.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience with increasing responsibility for project components related to BIM
- Demonstrated ability to present technical material
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
- Knowledge of building codes, LEAN construction techniques, and LEED principles
- Proficient with BIM computer applications such as Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Point Layout, Trimble, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and BIMTrack
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate team members effectively
- With 2+ years’ experience, the VDC Specialist I is an intermediate position for virtual construction within the ISAT Total Support employment structure
