Job Summary
Lead global BIM QAQC strategy by designing standardized frameworks, establishing review gates, and enforcing naming conventions across all offices. Oversee model audits, clash detection, and constructability reviews to ensure compliance with LOD/LOI requirements and industry standards. Mentor BIM coordinators and modelers on best practices while developing dashboards to track performance trends and drive continuous improvement. Explore and implement AI, automation, and rule-based tools to reduce manual effort and increase scalability of quality processes. This high-impact role ensures every model and drawing is accurate, consistent, and truly buildable, directly reducing RFIs and rework on projects like Apple's new headquarters and the Tesla Gigafactory.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of BIM/VDC experience
- strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices
- Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit
- Expert proficiency in Navisworks
- Proven experience auditing federated models for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with LOD/LOI, naming conventions, and BIM standards
- Exceptional attention to detail
- track record of building and enforcing QA/QC frameworks, checklists, and reporting dashboards across multiple teams or offices
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to coach modelers and collaborate with project managers, leads, and field teams across global, multi-office environments
- US work authorization
Desired Qualifications
- experience auditing federated models for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with LOD/LOI, naming conventions, and BIM standards (ISO 19650 / BEP / EIR / CDE workflows preferred)
