Job Summary
Develop detailed 3D BIM models for architectural, structural, MEP, and utility/site infrastructure while overseeing project model setup, management, and multi-phase workflows. Apply industry standards and BIM execution strategies to maintain model accuracy, conduct clash detection, and lead 3D trade coordination meetings. Perform QA/QC processes using point clouds, contract drawings, and as-builts, and support reality capture services including LiDAR scanning and Scan-to-BIM workflows. Produce renderings, visualizations, and 4D simulations as needed, and support site visits for field verification. Troubleshoot BIM software issues and stay current with emerging tools. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of BIM/VDC experience, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, and a valid driver's license. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $120,000. Location is New York City with frequent site travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or an AEC-related discipline
- Min. 5 years of hands-on experience working as a BIM/VDC Professional
- Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
- Proficiency in Autodesk products such as Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and ACC Model Coordination
- Strong Revit Modeling experience
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Bentley Microstation, Projectwise and/or OpenBuildings
- Experience working with Public Sector clients / projects
- Experience working on Infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of Bentley OpenBuildings, OpenRoads, and MicroStation
- Experience with software development using Revit APIs, Python, and Dynamo
- Knowledge of construction methods and processes
- Experience performing and utilizing 3D laser scans on projects
