Job Summary
Create and refine 3D electrical models using Revit, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless model integration and resolve clashes via Navisworks. Lead BIM coordination meetings, manage project workflows for medium-to-large projects, and generate schedules and Bills of Materials to support procurement. Identify opportunities to improve modeling workflows, train junior designers, and enforce BIM standards across projects. This role supports the creation and enforcement of best practices within a national leader in electrical design, construction, and maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination or electrical design within the construction industry
- Experience working on medium-to-scale projects involving complex electrical systems
- Proficiency in Revit
- Proficiency in Navisworks or Revizto
- Proficiency in Bluebeam
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Familiarity with BIM standards model coordination platforms
- Understanding of electrical systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) year degree in electrical construction, electrical design for construction or similar
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Dynamo scripting or other automation tools for Revit workflows
- Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (NEC, IEC, etc.)
