Job Summary
Support lead tutors during dynamic VCE Physics group classes of 8–20 students by addressing questions and clarifying concepts. Conduct 1-on-1 video consultations outside class hours and provide ongoing text-based support to answer student inquiries promptly. Proofread and review learning materials, workbooks, and exams to ensure quality and accuracy. Mentor students by sharing anecdotal stories of success and failure while building genuine connections. Work Thursdays and Saturdays at the Glen Waverley campus, plus online on Mondays, with a hybrid component for consultations. Earn $30 per hour with perks including paid subscriptions to Netflix, Spotify, and Apple Music.
Required Qualifications
- 99+ ATAR and 45+ raw study scores in VCE Physics
- First-year university–level knowledge or above in Physics
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Energy, empathy, independence, and a proactive mindset
- A full academic year commitment (no long-term travel or overseas exchange trips)
- Ability to commit to weekly classes (consistent attendance required)
- Willingness to travel to our campuses (Glen Waverley, Springvale, Narre Warren, Bentleigh)
- Alignment with Contour's mission (non-compete agreement required)
- A genuine passion for helping and motivating students to achieve their potential
- Available to work at our Glen Waverley campus on Thursdays and Saturdays, as well as online on Mondays
Desired Qualifications
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience (preferred, but not essential)
