Job Summary
Conduct due diligence on potential first-time fund managers, source candidates through networking, and review applications while analyzing financial data to assess investment strategies. Manage the portfolio, build relationships with fund managers, and collaborate to optimize fees and investment terms. Provide operational support, regulatory compliance assistance, and industry trend updates. Represent the firm at events and actively participate in fundraising efforts by engaging prospective investors and coordinating documentation. Cultivate LP relationships, serve as the primary contact for inquiries, and organize reporting and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Comfort with ambiguity and risk
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science or business
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally at a venture capital firm, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a startup
- Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and think creatively and strategically
- Speaks English
- Based in Vienna or is willing to relocate
