VAVE Engineer

Job Summary
Develop and implement profitability improvement projects for launches and post-SOP programs across multiple customers. Generate and evaluate cost reduction ideas impacting total product cost through design, process, and resourcing changes. Coordinate technical and commercial feasibility assessments with cross-functional teams and prepare data to support management decisions. Track project status, monitor implementation progress, and propose mitigation plans for deviations or roadblocks. Escalate issues to top management as required and generate reports ranging from direct managers to Senior VP. Requires 4-5 years of automotive experience, a mechanical engineering degree, and strong communication skills with stakeholders. Full-time role in Monterrey, Mexico, with 5% travel and a competitive salary.
Required Qualifications
- Min 4-5 years experience, preferably in Automotive industry
- Technical background, Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable
- Strong moderation, communication skills with ability to deal with various stakeholders (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, suppliers)
- Global thinking, results oriented, advanced organizational skills including attention to details
- Ability and willingness to work under pressure (deadlines, balancing)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Good English skills for an international environment (EU, NA, AP)
- Driving license
- ability and willingness to travel (5%)
