VASCULAR ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST

Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including venous reflux and arterial studies, by screening patients for precautions and reviewing requisitions. Independently operate sonographic equipment to identify normal and pathologic findings, adapt procedures based on anatomical and pathological data, and synthesize sonographic information with medical history. Communicate oral or written summaries of technical findings to physicians and maintain orderly work areas while ensuring equipment and supplies are properly maintained. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision, interacting professionally with employees, customers, and suppliers. Requires RVT or RVS certification, BLS certification, and five or more years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be RVT or RVS and BLS certified
- 5 or more years of experience
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment (e.g., computers, phones, fax machines)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Visual acuity is required to perform tasks involving computer screens and paper documents
- Ability to move around the office to access files, office machinery, and other equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience/interest in venous closures a plus
