Job Summary
Perform diagnostic vascular sonography examinations by screening patients for precautions, reviewing requisitions, and utilizing cognitive skills to differentiate normal from pathologic findings. Independently initiate additional imaging procedures, analyze sonograms, synthesize findings with medical history, and communicate oral or written summaries to physicians. Maintain a clean work area, uphold safety habits, and ensure all services meet professional standards. Requires RVT or RVS certification with five years of experience. Sit for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, and move throughout the office.
Required Qualifications
- Must be RVT or RVS and BLS certified
- 5 or more years of experience
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment (e.g., computers, phones, fax machines)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Visual acuity is required to perform tasks involving computer screens and paper documents
- Ability to move around the office to access files, office machinery, and other equipment
