Vascular Ultrasound Technologist 1 (U), Full-Time

Performs routine and specialty sonographic procedures in the Vascular Lab, operating complex ultrasound equipment (2-D, 3-D, color, power, spectral Doppler) to ensure diagnostic quality. Makes preliminary interpretations for the attending physician, assists in invasive and special procedures, and communicates findings clearly. Provides patient-facing explanations, adjusts communication and procedures to patient needs, and participates in training of co-workers, ultrasound students, residents, and visitors. Maintains equipment, conducts QA tests, completes documentation, and contributes to quality improvement initiatives. Requires certification (RVT and RVS), at least 1 year of relevant experience, and ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends. Works in a hospital/academic medical center setting with a focus on safety, patient care, and collaboration within the UHealth-University of Miami Health System.
