Job Summary
Prepare patients and operate specialized ultrasound equipment to capture and evaluate high-quality images of blood vessels and assess blood flow. Document findings for physician interpretation, review patient charts for pertinent history, and explain testing procedures to ensure cooperation. Maintain and calibrate examination equipment, perform routine maintenance, and promptly relay emergent results to physicians. Deliver patient care for all age groups while adhering to department protocols and physician direction.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a training program accredited by the American Medical Association – Committee on Allied Health Education (AMA-CAHEA) for vascular ultrasound
- Registered Vascular Technologist
- Basic Life Support - CPR
Desired Qualifications
- one year of post-graduate experience in vascular ultrasound
- demonstrated high degree of proficiency, knowledge, and acuity in the field of diagnostics or ultrasound
