Job Summary
Perform various vascular ultrasound procedures requiring independent judgment to provide diagnostic information for physician interpretation. Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments while ensuring comfort, positioning, and ambulation as needed. Communicate assessment findings, report changes in patient condition, and participate in the interpretation of non-invasive vascular studies. Document pertinent patient information, input charges, and maintain records for IAC accreditation. Assist with patient care activities, maintain clean patient rooms and equipment, and prioritize workload by addressing acute needs first. Take call shifts to contribute to coverage of emergent vascular procedures during off-hours.
Required Qualifications
- RVT or Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in field of Vascular
- BLS Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0-2 Years of Vascular Experience
- Must have a good knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology
- Must provides care/service that meets the development needs of patients ranging in age from adult to geriatric
- Must be able to take call in order to contribute to the coverage of Emergent Vascular procedures that occur during off-hours
- Needs good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of methods, techniques and operating principles involved in the operation of various ultrasound equipment
- Ability to perform with proficiency the skills and procedures designated
- Intermediate computer skills
