Job Summary
Perform diagnostic, non-invasive vascular exams on patients using ultrasound and physiologic testing equipment while maintaining accreditation and regulatory compliance of the Vascular department. Confirm the quality, accuracy, and confidentiality of all pertinent patient and procedural data, and manage patient documentation, procedure preparation, and instructions. Demonstrate knowledge of vascular anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation criteria. On-call is required. Schedule weekly hours are 40.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in an applied health science field with concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or other related study
- Credentialed in vascular technology by one of the following organizations: Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT), American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Vascular Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- One year of experience as vascular technologist
- On-Call availability
Desired Qualifications
- Credentialed in vascular technology by one of the following organizations (within 1 year of hire)
- Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT)
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Vascular Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS)
- Experience as vascular technologist (beyond the one year minimum)
- Knowledge of vascular anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation criteria
