Job Summary
Perform diagnostic, non-invasive vascular exams on patients using ultrasound and physiologic testing equipment while maintaining accreditation and regulatory compliance for the Vascular department. Confirm the quality, accuracy, and confidentiality of all pertinent patient and procedural data, and manage patient documentation, procedure preparation, and instructions. Demonstrate knowledge of vascular anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation criteria. On-Call is required. Schedule includes 20 scheduled weekly hours across all work shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in an applied health science field with concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or other related study
- Credentialed in vascular technology by one of the following organizations: Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT), American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Vascular Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- One year of experience as vascular technologist
- On-Call availability
Desired Qualifications
- Credentialed in vascular technology by one of the following organizations (within 1 year of hire)
- Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT)
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Vascular Sonographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS)
- One year of experience as vascular technologist (if not already listed as required, though context suggests preference for those without the 1 year)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (upon hire)
