Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations by obtaining patient histories, setting up equipment, and analyzing sonograms to differentiate normal from pathologic findings. Communicate results to physicians, complete exam data entry, and manage billing processes while maintaining a clean environment and adhering to infection control policies. Clean probes after each patient, stock exam rooms, and assist in staff orientation or student precepting. Maintain accreditation compliance and procedure logs. Requires RVT certification and 2+ years of experience; salary $48.33–$62.99/hr.
Required Qualifications
- MUST HAVE RVT Certification
- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with patients in intended area of specialty
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Active certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in the specialty (ies) as appropriate (or within one year of employment or transfer)
- Current compliance with continuing medical education (CME) requirements for specialty (ies) as appropriate or within one year of employment
