Job Summary
Vascular Tech responsible for preparing and assisting ultrasound procedures, obtaining diagnostic sonographic images, maintaining patient care with dignity, and ensuring proper data handling (demographics, PACS, CD/Film formats). Requires ARDMS RVT certification, CME compliance, strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and scanning techniques, ability to travel to multiple sites, and dedication to patient safety and quality control across ultrasound procedures. Must be flexible to work across multiple NY sites and adhere to HIPAA and department protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
- Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty of RVT
- Maintaining continuing education credits (CME) as appropriate for specialty
- Professional licenses as required by NYS Department of Health and ARDMS
