Job Summary
Vascular Surgery opportunity at Saint Alphonsus Medical Group in Boise, Idaho. Fellowship-trained vascular surgeon sought to join a high-performing, three-surgeon vascular program within a 550-provider multispecialty group. Role includes expertise in complex open and endovascular procedures, oversight of a non-invasive vascular lab, and involvement in co-management of the vascular service line. Convenient for candidates with ABMS board certification in vascular surgery and potential RPVI credential. The selected candidate will practice on the main Boise campus with monthly outreach clinics; 1:4 on-call schedule. Prior hospital administration collaboration and experience with Hybrid OR environments are assets.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited vascular surgery residency/fellowship and ABS certification in vascular surgery
- Board certification through the American Board of Surgery with certification of special qualification (CSQ) in vascular surgery - or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment
- Current, unrestricted full license in Idaho and Oregon to practice medicine in all its phases
- Obtaining privileges at SAMC- Boise and other affiliated hospitals as needed, valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
- Fellowship trained vascular surgeon with knowledge and experience in complex open and endovascular procedures
- Obligation to participate in governance/co-management of vascular service line
- Preference for RPVI credential (not required)
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and support a regional vascular referral center
- Commitment to hospital-based call coverage (1:4)
- Eligibility for hospital (SAMC) privileges and licensure in Idaho and Oregon
