Job Summary

Provide diagnostic and therapeutic vascular care across outpatient, pre-operative, and post-operative settings in collaboration with supervising physicians. Manage patient history, assessments, orders and interpretation of diagnostic studies, develop and implement plans of care, administer medications per formulary or with physician approval, educate patients and families, document care per specialty standards, participate in staff and student education, collaborate with interprofessional team to coordinate patient care, and lead quality improvements in patient safety and department operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority
  • credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing or the Texas Medical Board
  • Experience in caring for adults with vascular disease preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
  • Capacity to work with physicians and other care providers as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare delivery team
  • Capacity to work with trainees, including medical students and surgical residents
  • Highly proficient in hospital and clinic EMR documentation and Microsoft Office applications
