Job Summary
Vascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider provides vascular patient care across outpatient, pre-operative, and post-operative settings under supervising physicians. Responsibilities include obtaining histories, performing assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, developing care plans, and administering medications with prescriptive authority. Counsel and educate patients and families; document care and nursing processes; participate in staff/trainee education; collaborate with an interprofessional team to coordinate patient care; lead improvements in patient safety and department operations; contribute to professional practice standards and policies; perform procedures as permitted and provide direct treatment and management of vascular conditions. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of vascular surgical first assisting and patient management; strong EMR documentation skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Licensed Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority
- credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing or the Texas Medical Board
