Job Summary
Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and operate equipment to develop vascular images including carotid, arterial, venous, and abdominal aorta duplex studies. Maintain medical records, ensure sterilization of tools and equipment, and generate analytical reports from sonogram results. Assist physicians in reviewing images and performing in-office vein procedures while communicating technical details to patients. Manage patient schedules and file diagnostic reports. Work Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday until 12:00pm with no weekends or call.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant ARDMS credential such as registered vascular technologist (RVT) or registered vascular sonographer (RVS) through CCI
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent knowledge of sonography technology and ultrasound equipment
- Excellent diagnostic and interpretive abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to provide an excellent level of patient care
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a vascular sonographer
- Familiarity with patient medical software such as eClinicalWorks and Vidistar
