Job Summary
Perform non-invasive diagnostic procedures to evaluate vascular occlusive disease using ultrasound and Doppler equipment, objectively identifying the presence or absence of disease. Modify procedures with supervisor or medical director approval to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis. Comply with Inter-societal accreditation commission standards for departmental policies and procedures. Manage shared regional coverage for stand-by and call back on evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- National Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire
- National Registered Technologist - Vascular Sonography upon hire
- Oregon Sonographer upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- knowledge of and expertise in performing non-invasive diagnostic procedures used in evaluating vascular occlusive disease
- ability to objectively identify the presence or absence of disease utilizing a variety of ultrasound and Doppler equipment
- ability to modify procedures with the approval of the Supervisor or Medical Director, to meet special circumstances to provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis
- shared regional coverage for stand-by and call back on evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of a four year vascular technology program
- 2 years experience working in a Non-Invasive Vascular Laboratory setting
