Vascular Sonographer (Float)

Job Summary
Vascular Sonographer Float providing non-invasive vascular ultrasound across 11 clinic locations in Middle Tennessee, rotating between sites to support vascular surgeons. Performs arterial, venous, carotid, and abdominal studies, ensures diagnostic-quality images, documents findings for physician interpretation, and supports accurate billing with CPT/ICD-10 coding. Maintains equipment, supports accreditation efforts (IAC), and upholds HIPAA/OSHA standards. Able to travel to multiple clinic locations, train staff, and adapt to varying workflows while delivering high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS certification
- Willingness to travel and work at different sites on short notice
- Successful completion of a formal 2–4-year vascular technology training program
- Registry-eligible within 12 months
- Appropriate credentials: RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) with active status; must become credentialed within first six months if not credentialed
- Ability to operate ultrasound equipment, perform arterial, venous, carotid, and abdominal studies
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Understanding of IAC vascular laboratory accreditation processes
- Commitment to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to multiple clinic environments and workflows
- Experience in training and orienting new staff (preferred)
