Job Summary
The Vascular Sonographer performs high-quality diagnostic imaging of blood vessels using ultrasound equipment, producing accurate diagnostic images. Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, patient care, and collaborating with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care. Must have ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS) or registry-eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months), and BLS. Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to follow complex instructions are essential. Physical requirements include the ability to push/pull and lift up to 50 lbs, with prolonged standing and walking during shifts. PRN/Days shift at Mercy Hospital Springfield; position may require state licensure depending on practice location.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound
