Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic vascular ultrasound procedures using manual transducer manipulation to examine tissue and body structures. Perform routine and complex studies while recognizing significant artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations. Implement safety standards, execute quality control procedures, and ensure proper equipment function by reporting malfunctions or performing lock/tag-out protocols. Submit high-quality images labeled correctly with accurate patient data to the PACS and maintain a clean, orderly department environment. Work in a constant state of alertness while complying with regulatory agencies and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Sonography program
- Completion of a Sonography program and ARDMS credential in Vascular (RVT) or CCI credential in Vascular (RVS)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Breast (BR) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
