Job Summary
Vascular- Registered Nurse (RN) on a specialized nursing unit with responsibilities that include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising patient care; supervising non-RN personnel; serving as Charge Nurse; coordinating plans of care with the healthcare team; providing educational opportunities; and demonstrating competency in neuro assessment, airway management for neuro patients, ventilator care, and post-procedure care (including tracheostomy suctioning and halo brace care). The role supports heart and vascular ICU services (CTICU/HCICU) within a Cardiac Vascular unit and requires licensure as a registered nurse (Connecticut) with adherence to applicable nursing standards and patient-centered outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Nursing practice overseen by Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
- Nurse Practice Act compliance
