Job Summary
Provide direct inpatient and outpatient care for patients with stroke and complex cerebrovascular conditions, including comprehensive telestroke coverage for emergency intervention, diagnostic evaluation, and secondary prevention. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the continuum of care and contribute to quality improvement processes and novel stroke care delivery paradigms. Educate trainees including fellows, residents, and medical students while participating in pivotal clinical trials and research initiatives. Work twelve-hour day and night shifts with minimal long call coverage within a balanced academic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency
- Completion of a vascular neurology fellowship
- Broad Neurology and vascular neurology expertise incorporating hemorrhagic cerebrovascular conditions
- Ability to manage urgent non-stroke conditions such as status epilepticus
- Commitment to educating trainees
- Contribution to ongoing clinical trials
- Current or eligible, unrestricted Minnesota State Medical License
- Board Certified Physician or Board Eligible Physician
- Acquisition of certification within 2 years of hire if not yet certified
Desired Qualifications
- Prior telestroke experience
- Strong interest in telemedicine
- Desire to work collaboratively to provide for the cerebrovascular needs of our patients
