Job Summary
Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Technologist responsible for supporting vascular, endovascular, cardiothoracic, and neurosurgical procedures in the Operating Room and Interventional Radiology settings. Operates, programs, and maintains robotic fluoroscopic and digital imaging equipment used during perioperative procedures; assists physicians with complex invasive vascular procedures (arteriography, angioplasty, atherectomy, stenting, venograms, cavagrams); prepares sterile fields and supplies; assists with CT/MR image manipulation and intraoperative guidance; monitors patient safety and comfort; participates in QA/QC activities and provides training on imaging equipment; coordinates with vendors and clinical staff regarding equipment and advancements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an Interventional Radiology Technologist education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
- Possession of a Certificate of Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of vascular anatomy, imaging principles, radiation safety, robotic fluoroscopy, and quality control procedures
