Job Summary
Vascular Access Specialist needed at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. Responsibilities include reviewing admission diagnoses, collaborating with ICP and medical/nursing staff on vascular access device use and placement (PICC/midline), documenting in medical records, managing catheter supply charging, administering CathFlo as ordered, educating nursing staff on IV access and therapies, maintaining infection control policies, assisting with quality monitoring and outcome analyses, and supporting peripheral IV placement and dressing changes. Must demonstrate ultrasound-based vascular placement knowledge, infection control principles (CLABSI prevention), flexibility under pressure, and effective time management. Requires ongoing professional development and completing formal PICC education within one year of hire if not completed in the last three years. Flexible work schedule with rotating weekend day. Licensure/Certification: Florida RN license; BLS and ACLS; PICC certification preferred. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Florida
- BLS and ACLS required
- PICC certified preferred
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- 1 to 2 years of PICC experience
- Excellent peripheral IV skills
