Job Summary
Vascular Access RN--PICC role providing expert venous access and infusion therapy for patients, with responsibilities including sterile technique, PPE usage, hand hygiene, and adherence to safety regulations. Performs venous access consults and interventions (PICC, peripheral IV, and port considerations) and educates patients on care. Applies clinical judgment to select appropriate venous access based on age, therapy, and complications, participates in performance-improvement initiatives, supports departmental quality standards, and responds to clinical emergencies (Code Blue). Maintains competency in venous access and infusion therapy, supports other staff as an expert resource, and adheres to AdventHealth’s mission and core values. Requires ADN or higher, RN license, BLS; PALS preferred; VA-BC and CRNI preferred; additional unit/state credentials may apply.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Nursing is preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
- Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) preferred
- Certified RN Infusion (CRNI) preferred
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
